5 reasons to try coworking in Epping

We love Epping! The High Street is full of character, and as a traditional market town, there are lots of things to enjoy.

When Sukh, our owner, set up The Epping Connection he purposefully set out to get a High Street location, because he recognised how important it is to cultivate a sense of belonging in the local community. What is coworking? Have a read here!

So here’s 5 reasons why coworking in Epping is such a great idea.

It’s not your kitchen table!

Or the sofa. Or the bed. Or the floor. Working from home during the pandemic has been trying for many reasons. For some, they were not in great home circumstances. For others, there were too many others trying to work from home and finding a quiet space to work was challenging. Whatever your circumstances, and being legally obliged to work from home, added a lot of stress and pressure that we didn’t expect to be faced with.

Thank God restrictions were relaxed. But now people are faced with figuring out what hybrid working is meant to look like. The Epping Connection has hot desks, solo workspaces and meeting rooms available to provide another option in helping people better navigate hybrid working.

Pet-friendly!

Really, we are! We were so excited to have our first doggo be a coworker here recently! She’s a cockapoo called Maple, and it was fab having her here. Pets create a friendly and happy atmosphere to work, and who doesn’t love giving a pooch a good old belly rub?

But also, it means you don’t have to feel guilty about leaving your pet at home. Bring them with you, and with lockers on-site you can leave goodies and toys for them so they and you know they have a home here.

Avoid the central line

Cos, I mean, it’s just not the greatest commuting experience is it? Did you know it has one of the highest decibels of all the London Underground trains? Of course you know, cos you do that commute and those tunnels and the screeching are horrid. In the summer, it’s just a hot mess of a service.

And that’s not even taking into account the time it takes to get into the city proper. Stratford takes 30 mins to reach from Epping. Liverpool St about 40 mins, and Oxford Circus about 45 mins. If you’re travelling on further from there, it’s just longer.

I’m tired just writing this.

Imagine avoiding all that, and working from Epping High Street. Minutes away from home, but with the comfort of separation of work and home.

Great bean-to-cup coffee machine

Honestly, Sukh spent weeks of his life trying to figure out what the right coffee solution needed to be for The Epping Connection. First of all, who know coffee solutions were such a big thing? Well, we’ve got a really good solution. Our members enjoy it and the beans are real nice quality.

But importantly, it comes as part of the membership. So you’re not paying extra, and you’re not being bothered by other coffee shop customers.

Meet other professionals

The best thing about coworking spaces, whichever you use, is that you get to meet other professionals and do the networking thing naturally without forced conversations. Everyone is here doing their own thing, and keen to just connect with other people. Especially for workers who don’t have easy options for connecting and meeting others in-person.

We get into all sorts of chats, talking all things pop culture, music, work, travel and holidays, hotels, space exploration, and so many more things.

Epping is a great place to live, and for many a great place to work. We’re looking forward to building a community of professionals and helping give businesses a space to grow and thrive. Book your tour today and come give us a visit, we’d love to welcome you.
